Do you think that death note is gonna be ruined when.........?

Do you think that death note is gonna turn into a twilight type stupid movie now that they are making a new north american remake? I think a bunch of people are only going to get into it because zac efrons playing light supposedly. I think it's going to ruin the greatness of death note. Nonetheless I'm anticipating the movie...unfortuanately I think that it will ruin death notes epicness.
