How do you sign your half of the house over to your spouse?

Is it possible to go through a non contested divorce doing your own paperwork from the courthouse and sign your half of the property over to your spouse who wants to live there, in exchange for a pay off? Would you use a lawyer for that part, or do it through the mortgage company? The idea is not to use an attorney where the cost of an uncontested divorce starts at $1500. in my area in Ga.
