How can Confederates better their image?

Today people constantly refer back to slavery and say how the CSA flag is offensive. Any advice on how to change their way of thinking. I know for myself its a flag of my heritage and what I want for the future of all southerners meaning everyone. So that my nation can be free from USA subjugation. I'm a Confederate Activist for the return of the Confederacy and this time no slavery.
