Mums to be - chicken pox immunity question?

I really don't care for the fact that your midwife was "very short" with you in regards to her "less than prompt" response to your need of this critical information. You need to err on the side of caution, you are already at high risk, not only because of the possibility of an exposure, but, also, because you have already lost one pregnancy, dear, it's not really worth the stress of not knowing, the fear that you may become infected, or a nonchalant @ss midwife who apparently isn't taking your concerns seriously, WTF wrong with her?
